My focus is teaching English to speakers of other languages. I am a native English speaker from the United States. I have many years of experience as a tutor and teacher.
I am fully capable of teaching all aspects of language learning including reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, etc.
I also have a TESOL teaching certificate from a nationally accredited academy. I will customize my lessons to fit your specific needs.

My name is Summer Gossman, and I have spent much of my adult life looking to
support and assist people to get the help they need. The truth is that many gaps can be
bridged when people work together to look for and provide solutions.
The aim of Learn With Summer is to have those conversations to fix these problems. My current focus is teaching English to speakers of other languages. But recently I have become more aware of the challenges some people face when they don’t have access to the same educational opportunities as most people.
Equality, equal opportunities, education for everyone . . . we hear so much about these
things, yet the world around us struggles to turn these things into reality. Why is it so
hard? We live in a time where there is so much knowledge and information - so many
tools to help people which are readily available and accessible – and yet some continue
to miss out. A lack of money, opportunity, or privilege remain primary obstacles to the
seemingly disadvantaged. Why are these hurdles still so difficult to overcome? They
shouldn’t be!
I am looking to establish solutions-based relationships with like-minded people and
businesses. Opportunities are there to be taken. New opportunities are there to be
created. There is nothing more satisfying than bridging the gap that may exist for
anyone to receive education, employment, or an opportunity that is readily available to
others. Equal opportunities then change from a nice idea to a life-changing reality. To
change the world of just one man, woman, or child, is to change the whole world – their
world! That sounds like as much of an opportunity for me as it is for them! Let’s work
together to provide for others, and to take for ourselves, opportunities that can change
each other’s world!
PURPOSE: My clear objective is to identify THREE areas:
1. PROBLEMS: Identify a clear need for educational opportunities for groups of people that are disadvantaged in some way. Those with limited resources or opportunities, those with physical or mental disabilities, or those who may be marginalized for social or cultural reasons.
2. SOLUTIONS: Identify ways and means to provide solutions to these problems. What tools, services, or resources are currently available or can be made available to fill the needs that exist?
3. ACTIONS: Build relationships and have dialogue with potential partners who are best placed to provide those solutions. Education centers, software developers, technology experts, specialists – anyone who can contribute towards a direct or an indirect solution to fill an identified need.
